Anna Vaughan

Occupational Therapist

Anna graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy in 2010, and has been working in predominately community based therapy provision since then. She has worked with clients with a wide range of disabilities across the lifespan, and has special interests and skills in working with physical and intellectual disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, spinal cord and brain injuries, other neurological conditions, progressive and degenerative conditions, and genetic disorders.

She has worked at senior level in multiple not for profits, private practices and NSW Health, and has experience supervising and mentoring other occupational therapists at different career levels.

Anna values working collaboratively with clients and families and is passionate about supporting individuals and families to achieve their goals and participate in activities that are meaningful and purposeful to them.

Bachelor of Occupational Therapy – University of Newcastle

– Sensory processing and modulation across the lifespan – Basic and complex assistive technology assessment and prescription – Minor home modifications – Upper limb assessment and development, including bimanual and modified constraint induced movement therapy – Skill building for activities for daily living across the lifespan, including dressing, cooking, sleep, toileting, social skills, self-advocacy, job readiness, and fine motor skills – Home and living assessment and support, including Functional Capacity Assessments, and SIL/SDA/ILO assessments and reporting – Supervision and mentoring for clinicians and OT students
