Kymbra is a Clinical Psychologist who has been working in the field for 15 years. She specialises in providing therapy to children, adolescents, families and adults. Kymbra works from a curiosity frame that encompasses an ecological system and attachment lens.
Special interest areas include mental health, trauma, clinical assessments and therapy interventions for neurodiversity (ASD, ADHD, Gender Identity, Sexuality) learning issues, personality disorders, relationships, out of home care, grief and loss and dissociative disorders. She works with all age groups across the lifespan (children, teens and adults).
Kymbra obtained her PhD in Psychology from Macquarie University focusing on the effects of childhood trauma and dissociative disorders. Kymbra obtained her Masters in Clinical Psychology from Charles Sturt University and her thesis focussed on ethical and dual relationship dilemmas for therapists across rural, regional and urban areas.
Kymbra is a registered specialist provider for Victims Service and also has further formal training in Clinical Family Therapy, Self Psychology, EMDR, Clinical Hypnosis and Schema Therapy.
Kymbra is a full member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association, the Australian Psychological Society, and is a Fellow of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists. She is an active member of the the Australian ADHD Professionals Association. She is also a full member of the Australian Association of Family Therapists and the EMDR Australian Association. Kymbra is a Registered Board Approved Supervisor to psychologists, clinical psychologists and intern psychologists and clinical psychologist registrars.
