Funding

There are two major routes of funding typically used when accessing our services in Australia.

1. NDIS funding – the NDIS (National Disablity Insurance Scheme)

An Australia-wide scheme that supports people with permanent and significant disability and provides them with the opportunity for quality care and support. The NDIS gives people with disability choice and control over the supports they receive.

If you have NDIS funding there are 3 ways you can manage the funding in your plan:

  • Self-managed: The NDIS pays you directly so you can pay your provider/s.
  • Plan-managed: The NDIS provides funding in your plan for you to pay for a plan manager. You select a plan manager, then your plan manager pays your provider/s on your behalf.
  • NDIA-managed: The National Disability Insurance Agency will pay your provider/s on your behalf.

2. Private funding

Whereby you personally pay for access to our services. In some instances where you have a referral from your doctor, and a Mental Health Care Plan, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate.
